I’m pretty sure i’m not the only one who is over the moon with nyx being in the UK finally! Its brand looks so high end (kind of like mac products) and feel good quality but yet, they stay so affordable. Since it has arrived in Boots, i’ve been naughty and bought a few too many bits, but I thought that as I have bought some products, I would share my thoughts on them, good and bad. Let me know in the comments, what products you like and dislike from Nyx or what ones you would like to try.
Nyx Wonder Stick Highlight & Contour (light – medium) – I heard that Nyx was really well known for its contouring and had never tried a cream type of makeup to contour with, but this makes my life so much easier! It’s quite precise so you can get into nooks and crannies of the face too.
Nyx Baked Blush Illuminator & Bronzer (Wanderlust) – This colour is such a lovely subtle pink with a hint of shimmer which I love.
Nyx Face & Body Illuminator (Enigmatic) – Such a subtle baby pink tone illuminator, I think it looks lovely on very fair skin for a more natural look.
Nyx Super Skinny Eye Marker (Carbon Black) – Not too sure with this one, it’s not completely black and reminds me of when a felt tip pen runs out and loses its colour, so unfortunately i’ll still be using my favourite Soap & Glory Felt Tip Eyeliner.
Nyx Matte Liquid Liner (Black) – I never get on with liquid eye liners as it gets quite messy, but this one is the best one i’ve come across. It has a very fine and shortish brush on the end which is probably why I find it easier to use than others. It’s also very long lasting throughout the day.
Nyx HD Studio Finishing Powder (Translucent) – Make my skin feel very soft once i’ve put it on, and leaves makeup looking slightly better too.
Nyx Matte Lipstick (Sierra) – Number 5 – My favourite lipstick at the moment is this one! I’m starting to warm up to the orangey kind of tones for spring, and this is THE one!
Nyx Matte Lipstick (Spirit) – Number 4 – I brought this one online being eager to get it, but just a warning, the colours look nothing like they actually do. It looked as if it was slightly darker in the images, but it isn’t dark at all. It’s still a lovely colour, but I don’t often go for lighter matte lipstick as I feel as if they wash me out a bit too much.
Nyx Butter Gloss (Tiramisu) – Number 2 – OMG this is beautiful on! I put this on the top of some nude lipsticks and it just makes it look more natural and pretty for spring!
Nyx Soft Matte lip cream (Manila) – Number 1 – I again, brought this one online without looking at the proper colouring, as I heard very good things about this range, but personally, it’s not for me. The colour doesn’t seem to be pigmented enough, so you seem to have to do 2 layers of it to not be patchy, unless it’s just me.
Nyx Lingerie Liquid Lipstick (Exotic) – Number 3 – Long long long long and long lasting, soft brush on the end too. Kind of remind me of the original Kylie Lip Kits texture wise.
Nyx Lip Liner (Nude Pink) – Number 6 – Beautiful colour lip liner, matches most pinks and plums that I own. Can’t really fault a lip liner haha.
