It’s that time of the month (no, not that kind of time of the month) but the time of month for me to share with you what i’ve been loving throughout the month of May. It feels like only a few days ago, I was sitting down typing my April favourites! Time flies by! Before I ramble on about my favourites, I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thankyou to everyone who takes the time out to actually bother reading and checking up on what I post on my blog. It means so much to know that people are actually interested in what I write. Anyways, cheesiness over, let’s crack on…
This month, I had posted a Nyx Cosmetic Haul as I was trying out the brand for the first time and I kept finding myself go back to two items in particular – the Nyx Butter Gloss (Tiramisu) and the Nyx Illuminator (Enigmatic). They have very similar tones in them and are both so subtle and perfect for that everyday wear. I’m so obsessed with the butter glosses, my collection of them is increasing, worryingly.
To put my powdered highlighters on, i’ve found a love for a particular brush, but as far as i’m aware, it’s meant to be for buffing your eyeshadow… it’s the Zoeva Rose Gold 227 Luxe Soft Definer brush. I just find that it’s such a perfect size and fluffiness for applying my highlight. Within the Zoeva brushes, there are other brushes that i’ve been slightly obsessed with using as well – the Zoeva Rose Gold 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek brush for my blushers, and the Zoeva Rose Gold 110 Face shape brush for more detailed and precise contouring – again, I just feel like it’s the perfect shaped brush for the hollows of my cheeks, and temples.
There is a new lipstick from Chanel called the Rouge Coco Stylo (I have 216 lettre) which comes in a slim twist up tube. It’s got the intensity of a lipstick, shine of a lipgloss and the comfort of a lip balm. I’ve been loving it and want to add to my collection as soon as I can as the other colours look just as gorgeous! It’s truly a three in one kind of lipstick.
As for brows, i’ve found myself going back to the Benefit Gimme Brow (Light/medium). I feel like I always end up going back to this as I haven’t yet found a cheaper alternative that I like. If you know of any, please let me know in the comments section as I think that this is quite a pricey product, however it’s the perfect shade for me, so easy to use and makes the brows look very natural as I don’t like them looking too drawn in.
My faves of all faves is the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm. I blame my friend Gaby for this one as she got it for me last christmas but I hadn’t used it yet due to trying out other cleansers that I already had. The first time I tried this, I just fell in love! It dissolves my makeup off of my face (even waterproof mascara). As a bonus, it’s multi purpose too – I use it as a hair mask from time to time too just to give it a bit of extra nourishment. Smells divine and leaves my skin looking so glowy and healthy! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Where I work, they recently brought in these Evian Fruits and Plants Flavoured waters and oh my, they are delish! There are three different flavours (Rose and Grape, Lemon & Elderflower, Raspberry & Verben) My favourite one is the Raspberry & Verben one, they are very sweet, refreshing and just better than drinking just plain boring water. Plus, look at them! How cute is the packaging!?
My favourite cosy spring / summer clothing are actually Short Tropical Pajamas. They’re from New Look and i’ve pretty much lived in them until i’m forced to wash them haha (so gross).
The songs i’ve been loving this month are Fifth Harmony – Write on me and Ariana Grande – Into You I really want to see them live, even after Fifth Harmony had an awkward live show on Britain’s Got Talent. I’ve also been loving Macy Kate on Youtube, she does covers of all different types of songs. Her voice and editing are amazing!
Let me know what you’re favourites have been throughout May and make sure to check out my other blog posts! Thanks for reading!
