Slightly delayed, forgive me. I’ve been soooo busy planning my birthday party and being spoilt for most of the month! However, nevertheless, i’m posting it either way so let’s dive in…
Makeup wise within June, I’ve been loving Orange / Nude colours. To line my lips i’ve been using a No7 Lip Liner (Nude) which is literally a perfect shade of nude brown. Then on top of the liner, I apply the Nyx Matte Lipstick (Sierra). I love a good matte lipstick! I find that everytime I wear this lipstick it lasts so much longer than any others that i’ve tried. It lasts throughout eating and drinking which is always a bonus for me plus it’s such good value for money. I’ve had so many compliments with this lip look. I love the overall look of these lip products together. I can’t wait to try other shades.
Hallelujah! I have finally found a mascara that i’ve fallen in love with all thanks to a friend recommending it to me, telling me I would love it. It’s the Maybelline Mascara (The Falsies Push up Drama). I was a bit skeptical at first because I don’t normally like a plastic wand on a mascara, but this works wonders. It get right to the roots of my lashes and makes them look so much longer. It’s also really volumising too. I love it!
You may already know, but I had my 21st birthday this month so I needed to find some nice fluttery yet natural eyelashes to use on the night of my party. I’m not a great user of eyelashes but I found the Eylure Simply Fleur really easy to apply! And because they’re so thin, they look so natural on! Definitely recommend those to anyone new to lashes or if someone wants a really natural look.
As for cleansing, i’ve been forever using No7 Micro Dermabrasion Body Exfoliator the majority of the month! It’s a very good scrub exfoliator and doesn’t feel too harsh on my skin. It’s just an overall great body exfoliator and I don’t give it enough credit for being amazing.
The next thing, is a bit random, but as girls, we all use them and it’s shavers… I’ve found a great and ideal way to constantly have clean, sharp and smooth razors. Friction Free Shaving is the name of them and what they are is a subscription box which send you out razor blade heads a month to keep you topped up with your shaving. Each month you get 4 heads as they suggest you use one head per week which I think is brilliant! The blades also glide onto the skin so much nicer than the ordinary razors I used to buy. It’s also saved me a bit of money because i’m only paying £7 a month and there’s even cheaper options too! http://www.ffs.co.uk/
Throughout June, i’ve been really getting back into reading and i’ve been reading All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, which is such an amazing book! Without giving too much away, it’s about two students who are both going through a rough time and meet at the top of a bell tower when both of them were considering to jump, however they realise that they have similarities and it becomes a little love story. I discovered this book due of a youtuber called Zoe Sugg (Zoella) starting a “Zoella Book Club” with WHSmith where she recommends books she has read. When she spoke about this book, I just loved the sound of it and the next day I went and brought it! Definitely give it a read!
As for television, who hasn’t been loving Love Island! I’m hooked! I really don’t know what i’m going to do after it finishes in July. I’ll need to find something else to watch! #TeamCaraAndNathan
Every month I seem to put a pair of youtube accounts into my favourites blogpost and they are Joe Santagato – He is just absolutely hilarious and I always watch his videos with a massive grin on my face with some of the things he says and another youtube account that i’ve been loving is SacconeJolys as they literally are family and life goals! Their kids are sooooo cute and they just seem like the perfect family. Plus they’re irish so the accent … well … I love them! haha
Let me know what you’re favourites have been throughout June and make sure to check out my other blog posts! Thanks for reading!
