Makeup Obsession has become my new obsession! Literally! You can make your own personalised palettes for eyeshadows & contour kits! Makeup Obsession is brought to you by a company called TAM Beauty. You may know them due to working on a few brands that you’ve heard of – Makeup Revolution & Freedom Makeup (two brands that are known for providing high quality makeup at very affordable prices) and Makeup Obsession is offering you the chance to build and create your own customised palette with a choice of eyeshadows, blushers, highlighters and contouring shades. It’s so simple to do as well! You just buy the pods individually and then pop them into your palette. Or you can use them as they come. As you would expect from the people behind Makeup Revolution, the products are creamy, really pigmented and long-lasting. Also, whilst looking for colours to put in my palettes, I noticed that there are a great selection of colours to suit everyone, with different tones and variations. With all of the colours I had chosen, I was only disappointed with one colour which was the colour “Scene” – it just seemed slightly lumpy in texture and not as smooth as the rest, however i’m more than happy with all of the others!Even though building your own palette has been around for a few years now, you used to have to go to higher end brands to do this and that would mean spending loads of money on just a few shades. But now you can look no further! As for prices, the eyeshadows cost £2 each, while the blushers, highlighters and contour shades vary around £3 each. The palettes are £4 for a 6-piece and a 12-piece would be £8. I think that this is such a good way of building up a collection of colours to use and mix up for different seasons or occasions. A great bonus to the palettes is that both sizes come with great mirrors too.I decided to make two palettes, a 12 piece for eyeshadows, and a 6 piece for a blush, contour and highlight palette. I’m a bit overly pleased with my eyeshadow palette though because it looks so autumnal (very tumblr-esk). I had so much fun making my palettes and that’s what I love about this whole concept. It’s putting the fun back into makeup and giving everyone the chance to choose colours they believe they would use and suit them more. Don’t you hate it when you buy a pallette already created for you and there’s always a couple of shades that you would never touch? Well you wont have that problem anymore. This concept allows you to experiment and be free with trying new colours or looks without breaking the bank. I think that these palettes would make such beautiful and unique gifts for someone too, whether it be a birthday, christmas or any special occasion, plus if you have a Boots Emporium near to you, you can get the palettes engraved which just adds a little personal touch for the person you’re buying for, unless you’re like me and want your own one engraved hahaYou can start building your palette online at https://www.boots.com/en/Makeup-Obsession/
