I mentioned in my New Years Resolution post that I wanted and needed to drink more water within 2017. It’s not that I didn’t ever want to, or that I didn’t like the taste of water, it’s simply because I just forget. If I don’t physically have a bottle or glass of water in front of me I simply won’t even register that I need a drink. To help me drink more water, I decided to purchase a HydrateM8 water bottle to see if it would help and encourage me to drink more, and it definitely has so far.
It’s priced at £13.99 and the capacity is 887ml which is a great (odd numbers bug me) size because the recommended guidelines tell us to drink at least 2 litres of water a day. I tend to refill the bottle once / twice throughout the day and carry it everywhere. A great feature of the HydrateM8 water bottle is the hourly marks printed on the side of the bottle to remind you to keep drinking, along with some motivational words like “good job” “keep drinking”. It’s a really unique and nice way to monitor what i’m drinking throughout the day along with being motivated. Another great and most likely missable perk is the non-leak top along with it’s useful carry handle. The straw flips up so you can drink, and then flips down so there’s no leaks in your bag or if it falls off of the table etc.
To make my water more interesting because water on it’s own can become quite boring after a while, i’ve started adding slices of lemon, cucumber or frozen fruit inside. The fruits give the water a nice not so watery taste. I’m hoping that I will be able to keep up my good habits and can get to a point where drinking 2 litres of water a day becomes a natural thing I do, rather than something I have to remind myself to do. I also need to train my body to not drink water, and then 2 minutes later need a wee (TMI)
Overall, I would totally recommend the HydrateM8 bottle to anyone looking to increase their water intake.I feel like this bottle has instantly helped me drink more water!! Love love love it! I’m looking forward to trying out different flavour combinations in my water and am looking forward to the health benefits that come from drinking more water too!
Leave me a comment of links or ideas of things to try in my water. I’d love to try some different things out!
